1. Select Your Rental Dates
Use the rental date selector at the top of our website to choose the days you'll need your winter gear.
Your selected dates determine pricing and availability as you browse. You won't need to choose a pickup appointment time yet.
2. Choose Your Winter Gear
Choose a complete Women's, Men's, or Youth Daily Gear Package, or rent individual items.
Our Daily Gear Packages include:
- Insulated parka
- Insulated bibs
- Winter boots
Mittens are available as an optional add-on for $5 per pair, per rental day.
Not sure which size to select? Visit our Sizing & Fit Guide. We generally recommend sizing up to allow room for comfortable layering.
3. Choose How to Receive Your Gear
Make your selection at the bottom of the shopping cart after you've added your first item. We offer three convenient options:
Shop Pickup: FREE
Pick up your gear at our North Pole location, approximately 30 minutes from Fairbanks International Airport. Our shop is open by appointment only.
After completing your reservation, you'll receive a separate email containing your personalized scheduling link. Use that link to select an available appointment time on the first day of your rental.
Hotel Drop Off: $15 per order
We'll deliver your gear to your selected participating Fairbanks-area hotel. Your gear will be available from the hotel front desk after 9:00 AM on the first day of your rental.
No pickup appointment is necessary.
Signature Service Delivery: Starting at $85
Enjoy a personalized fitting at your approved hotel, Airbnb, or other approved location.
Signature Service includes delivery, additional sizes for fitting, and assistance choosing the best fit.
Pricing starts at $85 for up to four people, plus $10 for each additional person, with a maximum group size of ten.
Service location and scheduling must be confirmed with Alaska Element.
4. Complete Your Reservation
Review your rental dates, gear selections, sizes, delivery method, and return method.
Complete checkout securely online.
You'll receive a reservation confirmation email containing your order details.
If you selected Shop Pickup, watch for your separate scheduling email. Your reservation and your pickup appointment are two different steps.
5. Receive Your Gear and Enjoy Alaska!
We'll have your winter gear ready according to your selected service.
If something doesn't fit quite right, contact us. We offer size exchanges within the first 24 hours of your rental, subject to availability.
We want you focused on enjoying Alaska, not worrying about the cold!
6. Return Your Gear
Choose the return option in the bottom of the shopping cart.
Shop Return: Free
Return your gear to our North Pole location by 11:00 PM on your scheduled return date. No appointment is required.
Hotel Return: $15 per order
Leave your gear with your hotel's front desk by 11:00 PM on your scheduled return date.
For other return arrangements, please contact Alaska Element in advance.
